Before his death, Seun Gafar was popularly known as 'Syntillate', the CEO of IREP T-Shirts, a company that produces series of customised t-shirts for youths, entertainers and artistes across and outside Nigeria.

The young entrepreneur was confirmed dead by close friends after a car accident at Elegushi beach on Boxing Day, in Lekki Lagos.

According to Mayowa Ilesanmi, a close friend of the deceased, “Syntillate had been hanging on the side of a jeep when it fell into a ditch and tumbled with syntillate under the jeep”.

Syntillate, whose real names are Abdul Gafar Seun Aremu, was a reserved and down to earth gentleman, born in Nigeria but spent most part of his life in England.

After he relocated back to Nigeria a few years ago, he utilized his creative and social knowledge to start the 'Rep ur Hood' label.

The label quickly gained popularity amongst youths for its uniqueness, earning him the Peak Awards Most Enterprising Youth 2011, and a nomination for the Dynamix Youths Awards Designer of the year.

He made plans to exploit new horizons for his label, and to also do charitable work.

Untimely Death

Many Nigerian youths have expressed their shock at Syntillate's untimely death.

“He will be surely missed,” said the CEO of ROCK Magazine, an all youth urban magazine.
