On 20 October 2013, UNAMID Joint Special Representative Mohamed Ibn Chambas paid his respects to the three fallen Senegalese peacekeepers and laid flowers on their coffins at the airport in El Fasher, North Darfur, before their bodies were flown to Khartoum and then repatriated to their country.

Here is a picture of the Legislative Crisis in 1962. It was when the house had met to ratify the change of government in May, 1962 that fighting broke out and many were wounded. The Prime Minister then summoned the Federal Parliament to declare a state of Emergency on May 29, 1962. Federal might prevailed.
