Kenya's Vivian Cheruiyot won gold in the 10,000 metres women's race at the International Amateur Athletics Federation World Championships today.

Cheruiyot, who was the least experienced amongst her fellow Kenyan team mates, started to make her break from her fellow athletes at the 200M mark.

Her Kenyan team mates Sally Kipyego, and defending champion, Linet Masai, took home the silver and bronze medals respectively.
