Justina’s worldwide organization, POSITIVE RUNWAY: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread, has also been nominated for “Service to the Community”.
As a nominee, Justina Mutale joins a host of high profile African personalities, including the Archbishop Desmond Tutu, who was the first recipient of the Award in recognition for his fight for Human Rights, Justice and Peace.
“We could not miss out the most inspiring African woman based in London, Justina Mutale, a multi-award winning, globe-trotting international PR & Business Intelligence Consultant who founded Positive Runway Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread to raise awareness against the spread of HIV/AIDS. Justina has been awarded with various international awards for her outstanding contribution to the international community.” said event coordinator, Heather Mudhari.
The spectacular event will be a celebration of African leadership, businesses, development, culture, colour, and the arts, as well as an appreciation of British hospitality. The prestigious event has attracted very high profile guests from as far as Africa, USA and all parts of UK and Europe.
Other nominees in the various categories of the 2012 Award ceremony, include The Hon. Yahya Jammeh, President of the Gambia; Hon Joyce Banda, Vice President of Malawi, Hon Thokhozani Khupe, Deputy Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, who is also the President of the Global Power Women Network Africa and Zimbabwe’s Goodwill Ambassador on the Campaign for the Accelerated Reduction of Maternal Mortality in Africa (CARMMA).
Other prominent Zambians like Mr Phillip Chabata based in US who founded Southern Africa World Networks (SWAN) an organization saving lives in Africa by supplying medicine and hospital equipment in countries like Zimbabwe, Zambia is among the nominees.
