Uche Okafor is reported to have been found hanged.

Uche Okafor, former Eagles Defender, has been found hanged to death, in his Dallas home, Texas.

Speaking to Supersport.com, former team mate, Ben Iroha, said “Seriously I still find it hard to believe when I got the call from the US yesterday (Thursday) evening. This is a really sad way to begin the year.”

“I am yet to know what happened. But I feel so sad to hear this because he was a very marvelous friend and brother.”

Okafor played in four matches with Nigeria’s Super Eagles at the 1994 Fifa World Cup in the USA.

He also played for several clubs in Belgium, Morocco, Israel and in the United States of America.

It has not yet been confirmed whether or not this was an act of suicide.

Suicide is not a race or national thing! Any human being can commit suicide regardless of religion, race, ethinisity of country hence we need to stop speculating what led to his death and leave that to the investigating team and the Most Highest the Lord. May his sould rest in eternal peace

we Africans dont commit suicide. He must have been murdered...we fear God more than that, in this part of the world. They should work hard to find out his killer.
