In the late hours of the night on thursday the 20th of December, two security men manning the gates of the popular Redemption Ministries in Port Harcourt were crushed to death by the gates of Redemption Ministries, Port Harcourt.

The unfortunate incident occured between the hours of 11pm to 12 midnight.

Sources confirm that the two security men were at their duty posts when the huge gates fell on them. Sources added that the security personnel were advanced in age.

Their affirmative ages respectively have not been confirmed.

Bystanders, some of whom were church workers, early this morning stated that the deceased men had complained prior to the incident, of the faulty gates; complaints that went unheeded.

The Rivers State Police arrived on the scene in the early hours of the morning to investigate the incidence.

The outcome is yet to be determined.

Meanwhile, work has commenced to put the gates back in place as men are seen carrying cement and other tools of the trade to erect the fallen gate.
